Barcode Verifier

The Inspector D4000 Series of portable barcode verifiers adapt to practically any linear barcode verification application requiring a portable unit. For NIST traceable ANSI method and/or laser point-and-shoot type operation, these scanners adapt to practically any linear barcode verification application requiring a portable unit. The D4000 Series provides the two most popular yypes of verification: ANSI/ISO Method and/or Point-and-Shoot Traditional Method. These unique portable bar code verifiers can interface with either the patented RJS Auto-Optic scan head or a laser scanner to provide nine different optic configurations. Store and print capability, multiple scan averaging and subsymbology choices are easily accessed through a simple four-button user interface. The scanners are easily installed by the user, which makes the unit quickly adaptable to practically any verification requirement.

D4000 Auto Optic

Offers ISO 15416 and ANSI X3.182 Method. This unique portable bar code verifier can interface with either the patented RJS Auto-Optic scan head or a laser scanner (either in a single piece or connected with a cable).

D4000 Laser

Offers a Point-and-Shoot Traditional Method that also includes the ISO 15416 and ANSI X3.182 Decodability parameter grade. Can interface with either the patented RJS Auto-Optic scan head or a laser scanner (either in a single piece or connected with a cable).

D4000 SP

Offers a Point-and-Shoot Traditional Method that also includes the ISO 15416 and ANSI X3.182 Decodability parameter grade while offering single handed operation. Can interface with either the patented RJS Auto-Optic scan head or a laser scanner (either in a single piece or connected with a cable).

GS D4000 Auto Optic

Offers ISO 15416 and ANSI X3.182 Method for GS1-128 (full Application Identifier AI data content testing), Code 128, UPC, and EAN bar codes. Choose the Inspector D4000 Auto Optic if you need to inspect Code 39, Interleaved 2 of 5, ITF-14 bar codes, or do not need full GS1-128 support

4000

The Inspector 4000 follows the ISO 15416 and ANSI X3.182 inspection method standards. All the popular linear symbologies are supported including Code 93. Choose the Inspector 4000 if you need to inspect Code 93 bar codes, otherwise choose the D4000 Auto Optic.

Applications

Popular applications for these portable barcode verifiers include verification on materials requiring special considerations such as shiny, curved or uneven surfaces and wet ink. Applications depend on whether you choose the traditional laser optic, the auto-optic or both. Use the laser optic for cylindrical products, easily wrinkled or scratched surfaces and wet ink. Use the Auto-Optic for exacting ANSI method verification.

Laser Optic

  • barcodes on curved surfaces
  • barcodes on easily wrinkled or scratched surfaces
  • Wet ink
  • Codes that are short in height (<= ¼")
  • UCC/EAN codes where AI and data formats must be analyzed
  • Data match
  • May use for analyzing symbols printed on a laser printer but must pay special attention to the ANSI decodability grade

Auto Optic

  • Portable verifier for screening codes printed on thermal or laser printers
  • Shipping codes direct marked on corrugated material (use 10 and 20 mil aperture depending on code type per UCC spec)
  • Codes with Large (> 25-mil) X dimension
  • Verify using IR light
  • Printing codes with multiple sized X dimension
  • Measure reflectance of material
  • UPC codes on flat surfaces (use 6-mil optic)

Both Optics

  • General verification device for ISO 9000 companies
  • Verify using IR light
  • Data match
  • Want common users to have ease of point and shoot but need QA personnel to have full ANSI
  • Measure material reflectance
  • Portable verifier for screening codes printed on thermal or laser printers
